Taylor Lautner Back on for Twilight Sequel
Taylor Lautner is returning as Jacob Black in the Twilight sequel New Moon.
In a post on her Web Site, Twilight author Stephenie Meyer confirms the news in a statement from director Chris Weitz.
"I'm very happy to announce that Taylor Lautner will be playing Jacob Black in New Moon and that he's doing so with the enthusiastic support of Summit Entertainment, the producers, and Stephenie Meyer," Weitz said.
Added Meyer, "I'm truly thrilled that Taylor was the one who proved to the director, to Summit, and to me that he is the best possible Jacob we could have. And I'm very much looking forward to seeing what he's going to bring to Jacob's character this year."
Lautner, 16, was worried because his character in the sequel is totally different: He's a foot taller and is supposed to look 25.
Lautner said he had been working out to convince producers he could still tackle the role.
He even told MTV News he was trying to gain 19 lbs. (he had 10 more pounds to go last month).
Kristen Stewart is set to return as Bella Swan, and Robert Pattinson will still be her hunky vampire love interest, Edward Cullen.
The sequel will be released Nov. 20.

Maybe a New Jacob???
EW has an article about what's new with New Moon, here's part of it.....
Summit Entertainment has tentatively slated Nov. 20, 2009, as the release date for New Moon, the Twilight sequel, which means any director who signs on to replace Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke has to be in Vancouver by Dec. 15 to begin 12 weeks of preproduction before a mid-March start date.
AND
Two sources tell EW the studio doesn’t want to rehire baby-faced Taylor Lautner (pictured) as Jacob, though Lautner’s agent has apparently reached out to the imaging company behind The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in an attempt to demonstrate to Summit how a digitally bulked-up Lautner could work. (Summit says it won’t make a decision until a new filmmaker is on board.)

Official News From Summit!
SUMMIT BEGINS SEARCH FOR NEW MOON DIRECTOR
Los Angeles, CA, December 7, 2008 – Summit Entertainment and director Catherine Hardwicke jointly announced today that the filmmaker will not be directing the next installment in the newly minted TWILIGHT film franchise. Summit's targeted end of 2009 or early 2010 release of the film, NEW MOON, does not work with Ms. Hardwicke's required prep time to bring her vision of the film to the big screen. Thus as has been done before with many successful film franchises, the studio will employ a new director for NEW MOON.
"I am sorry that due to timing I will not have the opportunity to direct NEW MOON," said Hardwicke. "Directing TWILIGHT has been one of the great experiences of my life, and I am grateful to the fans for their passionate support of the film. I wish everyone at Summit the best with the sequel-- it is a great story."
"Catherine did an incredible job in helping us to launch the TWILIGHT franchise and we thank her for all of her efforts and we very much hope to work with her on future Summit projects," said Erik Feig, Summit's President of Production. "We as a studio have a mandate to bring the next installment in the franchise to the big screen in a timely fashion so that fans can get more of Edward, Bella and all of the characters that Stephenie Meyer has created. We are able to pursue an aggressive time frame as we have the luxury of only adapting the novels into screenplays as opposed to having to create a storyline from scratch."
Soooo... what do you guys think?

101 More Pics
Did I say just one more before?? Sorry these were too good to pass up posting! Some of them come from the Official Twilight Movie Guide (you'll be able to tell which ones).
So I just have a question-in the movie guide there's a pic of Edward and Bella at school (the one where he's wearing the glasses) and the caption says "Edward greets Bella on an unusually sunny day in Forks". Does anyone care that it seems like Edward can come out in the sun and doesn't sparkle??
